ADOPT-A-TRAIL—TRAIL FUN SERIES—VOLUNTEER TRAIL WORK
July 24
Come get
dirty and have a ton of fun learning hands-on trail building and
maintenance techniques for a brand-new trail proposed by JORBA at Tourne
County Park. Bring gloves, something to drink, and wear sturdy
footwear suitable for doing trail work outside. Trail work is hard
work, but very rewarding. Nothing beats hiking, running, cycling,
or walking on a trail that you had a hand in constructing!
Participation will be limited to 20 participants. Learn more

SLITHERING SNAKES

What makes
these slithering reptiles so unique? Learn about all the species that
call NJ home from a naturalist. Then walk the trails to try to spot
some local specimens, and see our resident snake up close! Check it

Spotlight On:
ARTISTS WANTED FOR EXPRESSIONS OF NATURE
September 12 – Register by August 16
Seeking
various types of artists to interpret the natural and garden environment:
watercolor, oils, acrylics, photography, sculpture, etc. Artists will be
stationed around the grounds during the event. Bring your easel and
supplies and create art based on the arboretum and its many plants during
the course of the event. As you work, speak with visitors about your
technique and sell your pieces, if desired. Apply

per participant.
