As the world
continues opening up, it’s an incredible feeling to be able to make
plans again. We hope you’ll make some plans with Paper Mill in the
coming weeks and months, because we have so many great events and
performances lined up—both online and in-person. It starts on
Friday, June 4, with our virtual gala, Together at Home. Everyone
is welcome to tune in to this live program, which will be
jam-packed with very special guests, including Andrew Lloyd Webber,
Rob McClure, Chita Rivera, Susan Stroman, and many more. A
suggested donation of $30 will give you access to the show AND
provide much-needed support to Paper Mill as we gear up for our
return to live theater. We hope you will join us!
Speaking of live
performances, Brookside Cabaret returns on Wednesday, June 9, with
world-class entertainers and fine dining under the stars at the
F.M. Kirby Carriage House Restaurant. We are so excited to bring
back this wonderful series, and to see the Paper Mill campus come
to life once again with incredible music, live audiences, and great
food.
Looking ahead to our
fall reopening, our 2021–2022 season has been announced, and
subscription renewals are coming in strong. We can’t wait to be
back in the theater with you! As the CDC continues to loosen
restrictions, we are increasingly hopeful that we will have a close-to-normal
season. We will keep you up to date over the summer as our
reopening plans evolve, so stay tuned.
Last but not least,
our final digital production of the season, Beehive: The ’60s
Musical, will be available for streaming this month. We had so
much fun working on this show with director Casey Hushion, who led
an all-female creative team and cast. There’s still time to get a
digital subscription if you don’t have one already!
As always, thank
you for your steadfast support and generosity. We look forward to
seeing you soon.

DONOR
PROFILE: BILL FRANCIS
Bill moved from NYC to New Jersey 20 years ago
and found Paper Mill Playhouse. He loves theater and was
thrilled to have Broadway-quality theater nearby. As a new
subscriber, Bill was introduced to Paper Mill’s educational
outreach programs and attended the Rising Star Awards. He
saw Laura Benanti win the Rising Star Award! Bill has
followed her career ever since and saw her win the Tony
Award. He is a retired international logistics manager, and
the technical aspect of the theater is interesting and
appealing for him to see. As a Paper Mill donor, Bill
enjoys the benefits of attending tech night to see the
inner workings of a show. Bill misses Paper Mill and cannot
wait to be back in his seat next season!
