This Week at Montclair Art Museum
After a challenging year, MAM is determined
to provide even more enriching art experiences to a wider and more diverse
community.
A generous donor has offered to match
100% of any gift received, in any amount, but only if we reach our $100,000
goal.
This means your gift will be DOUBLED, making
your impact twice as important.
New programs and exhibitions are planned for the fall,
but we need your help now to make them a reality and to cover the
costs of serving over 30,000 people during challenging times last year.

Fragile Freedoms: Maggie Meiners Revisits
Rockwell
On View
As timely and thought provoking as it
gets. This exhibition reimagines the iconic work of
Norman Rockwell through the lens of modern America. With stunningly vivid
detail, Maggie Meiners’s carefully constructed photographs turn nostalgia
on its head and rework Rockwell’s familiar imagery to address contemporary
issues including racism, sexuality, gender roles, and the impact of
technology.

Virtual Tour of Fragile Freedoms: Maggie
Meiners Revisits Rockwell
Thursday, April 29, 7–8 p.m.
Montclair Art Museum is pleased to
present virtual tours of the brand-new exhibition, Fragile
Freedoms: Maggie Meiners Revisits Rockwell. Maggie Meiners reinterprets
and updates Norman Rockwell’s nostalgic, iconic images of mid-century
American life. Central to this exhibition is Meiners’ search into
Rockwell’s Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Worship, Freedom
from Fear, and Freedom from Want.
MAM invites you to join MAM’s Chief
Curator, Gail Stavitsky, live from inside MAM galleries for an
evening of exploration into our contemporary fragile freedoms.
This free virtual tour is made
possible by Bank of America.
