Join the Dodge Poetry Festival for At Home with Poems

Join us for At Home with Poems (previously called "Spring and Fountain Online") and from April 26 - May 2, you will receive a daily e-mail bringing poetry, mindfulness and creativity straight to your inbox.

Whether you are a longtime poet or poetry lover, a teacher or student, or simply are curious about poetry, this online program will provide some spring cleaning for your spirit.

Sign up for free to receive:

  • A curated packet of contemporary poetry
  • Activities for centering, grounding and connecting with poems
  • Writing and journal prompts for reflecting and tapping into your creativity
  • Access to the 2020 Dodge Poetry Festival video library

You will also be invited to join our online Community space, where Dodge Poetry members can connect with each other and engage in conversations with and about poetry. We'll post discussion topics, and you can respond, share which poems are your favorite and why, reflect on the day's activities and prompts, and get to know each other.

And, you'll be invited to join us for upcoming virtual meet-ups with other poets and poetry lovers.

Here are some reflections from participants who took part in our online program last year:

“I've always felt as if I couldn't understand the true meaning of a poem or I was always missing something. Being able to just be with poetry made me realize that while some poems come easily, sometimes it just takes a few more reads to understand. Reading poetry inspired me to dabble in my own and it boosted my creativity and my mood. Having this as a daily practice, especially during this time, was more impactful than I can put into words. I'm truly grateful for this program, as I feel it sparked something in me. Thank you!”

“I was never one to read poetry but after this experience, I look forward to reading more poems.”

“The staff of Dodge Poetry is brilliant in their understanding of poetry, poems, and the human mind and spirit.  You lifted my week and reasserted the importance of poetry in my life and therefore in the lives of those around me with whom I share poems and the news of the poetry world.  You have reinvigorated me in my job as a retired teacher to keep teaching what is important (poetry in life) to family, friends and my community.”

To sign up, simply create a free Dodge Poetry membership account with your e-mail, and in addition to receiving the At Home with Poems e-mails, you'll gain access to the Community space, 2020 Festival video library, and future Dodge Poetry online events, programs, resources and materials.

You should receive a confirmation e-mail within about five minutes of signing up—if you don't see it, please check your spam/promotions folder.

Our online Community spaces are currently open to poetry fans above age 13. If you are under 18 you may use these spaces with permission from a parent or guardian. Please be sure to read our Community Guidelines to ensure we keep the space safe and healthy for everyone.
