Celebrate the extraordinary presence of Jews in China in this unforgettable
presentation. Through lively stories, photos, video and music, Robyn Helzner shares
an irresistible enthusiasm for both the ancient and modern Jewish communities
of Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Kaifeng. Robyn served as the cantor
for the United Jewish Congregation of Hong Kong and officiated at the
first Bar Mitzvah ever held in Beijing. Enlightening and
entertaining, Kreplach & Dim Sum has been a wildly popular
presentation nationwide.
A stunning vocalist and vivid storyteller, Robyn Helzner radiates a passion
for Jewish music and culture. Her concerts and recordings are acclaimed
worldwide. Robyn also leads Jewish Heritage Tours to China, the Balkans,
Morocco, Spain, and Portugal.
Funding has been made possible in part by a general operating support grant
from the New Jersey Historical Commission, a Division of the Department of
State, through grant funds administered by the Monmouth County Historical
Commission.
The Jewish Heritage Museum is located in the Mounts Corner Shopping Center, at 310 Mounts Corner Drive Freehold, NJ, at the corner of Route 537 and Wemrock Road (between the CentraState Medical Center and Freehold Raceway Mall). It is on the second floor of the historic Levi Solomon Barn. The JHMOMC is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Although not currently open to the public, the Museum is handicapped and assistive-listening accessible.
