Greenwood Gardens Opens This Weekend

The Gardens are Open May 1 - November 7, 2021     Dear Friends, Greenwood Gardens opens for the season this Saturday and we are very excited to welcome you back! We hope you will take time to visit this peaceful haven, steeped in nature, beauty, and history from a time gone by. You will find much to revitalize all your senses: Notice the colorful new plantings in both the North Ridge and Cottage Lots. Wander by the 100-year-old picturesque cottages on your way to the gardens. Stop at Visitor Information to learn more about staying connected from our friendly staff. Let your eyes scan the dramatic Main Axis from the top of the Main Lawn staircase. Listen to the soothing water flowing in the fountains on the Reflecting Pool Terrace and at the Garden of the Gods. Relax at the ponds on one of the many comfortable teak benches located throughout the site, and watch for our gaggle of energetic geese to walk by. Make a visit to the barnyard to meet our new turkeys, the stunning Tom, and his mate, Tomasina, who have settled in with our chickens. Discover new views of the site down at the newly cleared pathways around the ponds. At every turn, breathe deeply to smell the aroma of the awakening spring garden.
