State Theatre New Jersey presents a FREE virtual
Community Poetry Reading on Zoom during National Poetry Month with
Artist-in-Residence, nationally-acclaimed poet Glenis Redmond! This
special event is a celebration of our community, and the power of poetry
to connect us all. The event will start with Glenis as she performs
poetry from her 20+ year career. During the program, she will be joined
by recent poetry workshop participants who will share their poems.

About Glenis Redmond
Glenis Redmond is an award-winning poet and educator from South Carolina
who is passionate about guiding others to gather their stories through
poetry. She tells stories with poetry—tales from her life, her family,
her African-American heritage, and her sensitive observations of the
world around her—inspiring audiences of all ages. Glenis is a teaching
artist with the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC; Poet-in-Residence at
the Peace Center in Greenville, SC; and a featured performer on National
Public Radio and TEDx.

us for a memorable Milk & Cookies musical experience with
singer-songwriter Tim Kubart! Tim Kubart is an actor,
musician, producer, and writer for some of the most successful children's
entertainment. This new Milk & Cookies performer is known for his
popular pop songs that are as heartwarming as they are dance-able. The
singer-songwriter won a Grammy® Award for Best Children's Album in 2016
for his album, Home.
Throughout his 15-year career, Kubart has written songs for and appeared
in famous children's media like Sesame Street, PostModern
