April Screenings at La Cinémathèque Film Club!

We have two great events coming up for you this month!

Register today for our next Cinéma du Look screening:
Jean-Jacques Beineix's Betty Blue

A young woman whose passionate affair with handyman and would-be writer inexorably drifts towards tragedy as she becomes increasingly unbalanced.

Please note: we are working hard at perfecting these watch-parties, but please be prepared with a back-up way to watch the film. This is a long film. In case of technical difficulties on the day, Betty Blue is available to screen from The Criterion Channel.

We know the most important part of these events is the educational information and group discussion, and that part will always be preserved!

Sunday, April 11th, 2 PM EDT

A live event—can you believe it! We're so excited about the chance to get back into a cinema for the first time in a full year!

We will be screening Luchino Visconti's The Innocent at 2PM on Sunday, April 25th, and we really hope that you'll join us.

This event will take place in one of the SOPAC's movie theaters and will follow our usual format, with an introduction by Gerard Amsellem, film screening, and an audience discussion and Q&A. The concession stand will be open (credit card only).

In order to keep everyone safe, we will be enforcing social distancing. This means that seats are limited, so book soon!  We can only accommodate 20 people at this screening, and seats are filling up fast!

Gold members may RSVP by replying to this email.  If you missed registration, you may sign our interest list for future Covid-safe live events.
