BONJ Schedules Opening Concert of the 2020-2021 Season

The Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey will present the opening concert of the 2020-2021 season as a very special virtual event

BONJ musicians played under the baton of Maestro Robert W. Butts at the Madison Community Arts Center (Eric Hafen, Director) in Madison, New Jersey, to perform and record especially for this exciting event. Everyone was masked and distanced.

• The concert opens with the world premiere of Soundscape 1, composed by Maestro Butts. This work is a bit of a departure for Maestro Butts, presenting several abstract contrasting sections, including a moment of Gaelic fun.
• The main work is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's enchanting Eine Kleine Nachtmusik.
• The virtual concert closes with a bonus selection: Mozart's wonderful Symphony #34, recorded in 2016 at Dolan Hall, The College of Saint Elizabeth.
