Mostly Mozart is Happening on WQXR!

WHEN: August 10-16
WHERE
: WQXR Radio

At last, some good news about the summer of 2020: the Mostly Mozart Festival is still on! This week New York’s classical radio station WQXR is reimagining Lincoln Center’s iconic music and art festival as the Mostly Mozart Festival on WQXR.

Every day, you’ll hear great music from Mozart and every night you’ll hear the concerts and events that had been planned for the in-person festival.

The festival kicks off Monday with "Mostly Mozart Across The Boroughs," a series of socially-distanced pop-up concerts.

Other highlights include:

  • An opening night mash-up of Mozart and the Estonian composer Arvo Pärt
  • A documentary on the opera Blue, centering around the impact of police brutality
  • A recreation of Beethoven’s epic 1808 concert where he was the composer, soloist, conductor and impresario.

Radio is the perfect way to keep your distance but still feel connected to the people and events that make New York City great. To keep it old school, WQXR has created this nifty downloadable program guide so you can plan your listening.
