Restoring Through Music: Free Lessons for Essential Workers

Through an NJSO and Hackensack Meridian Health pilot partnership program, Michele Malit, DO, colorectal surgeon of Bayshore Medical Center, and Joanne Bowlby, lab technician of Ocean Medical Center, are among the hardworking New Jersey essential workers and their immediate family members who are enjoying free virtual lessons.

Through this partnership, NJSO professional musicians connect weekly with individual participants for customized, one-on-one instructional experiences, reviewing basic techniques and playing music together. See a glimpse into Malit and Bowlby’s lessons with NJSO violinists Ming Yang and Alexandra Neglia.
