“Simply Timeless” Radio Can Now Be Heard on the NJ Jazz Society Website

Simply Timeless

on the New Jersey Jazz Society website, www.njjs.org

Simply Timeless, the radio program created in 2017 by jazz pianist and vocalist Jay Daniels, can now be heard on the New Jersey Jazz Society website, www.njjs.org. In early May, a partnership was formalized between Daniels and NJJS that will also include collaboration on promoting jazz events and news items from New Jersey and the surrounding region.

Since its beginning, Simply Timeless has featured the sounds of classic jazz artists such as Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, Norah Jones, Harry Connick, Jr., and Miles Davis. "NJJS," said NJJS President Cydney Halpin, "is thrilled to partner with Jay Daniels and Simply Timeless as further commitment to our mission to preserve and promote America's art form—jazz. Jazz lovers are going to enjoy this well-researched, well-crafted, and very enjoyable program."

Simply Timeless has grown from a locally-based program in Greencastle, PA, to a globally syndicated radio show from its new home in the Tri-State region. In addition to the weekly radio, Simply Timeless and its host have been developing relationships with organizations throughout our region. “We want to be an integral part of the fabric of this jazz community," said Daniels. "Truly, each of us has a special role to play. We want to do our part in collaborating with like-minded groups in sharing this gift of jazz music.”

Over the coming weeks, NJJS and Simply Timeless will be developing ideas for future promotional projects. While in-person concerts may be on hold for some time to come, Daniels agrees that the music must remain available to listeners. “Each week, we bring this music to listeners all around the region—wherever they may be. While we would love to come together again for concerts, this is our way of keeping this music fresh and relevant. The music will always find a way to reach the heart and soul of people. Our partnership with NJJS strengthens that bond between us and the listener. We are truly grateful for the opportunity.”
