I've got another contribute-what-you-can
Write Your Stress Out session
WHEN: May 21st at 3:30pm ET. (Already know you want to join? Pop over here and sign up ...)
You've been hearing me talk about these gatherings for a while now. I originally thought I'd offer them three or four times, but we're going on two months now. That's because now more than ever we need an outlet like this.
I've always known that expressive writing offers a safe harbor in all sorts of situations, but now? Oy, do we need it. And the women who have been joining me week after week are saying so too.
Because we're all feeling our way through pandemic-world. We're learning a vocabulary we'd never heard before, and we're living in ways we're sort-of getting used to, but don't really want to get used to. We're grieving, frustrated, and angry. It's true that sometimes we might feel hopeful ... or calm even. But then, 5 minutes later we could be back to feeling terrified and helpless.
We're flying by the seat of our pants with no GPS in sight. And I don't know about you, but I can only fly by the seat of my pants for so long before I feel like I'm going to crash and burn.
So, writing to the rescue.
No matter how long you've been on my list, and no matter why you signed up, let me help support you now.
Because when we write in this way, we get to feel whatever we feel. We can vent and kvetch, and not have to apologize or equivocate. The only way out of all of this stuff is through.
Writing helps us get through. And even if you're experiencing financial panic, that's OK ... when I say contribute-what-you-can, I mean it; come write with us.
Come join me tomorrow 5/20 at 3:30pm ET. (or next week: 5/26 at 5:30pm ET, or the week after that: 6/2 at 11:30am ET.)
I'd love to work through some of this GPS-less living with you.
