Write Your Stress Out
You know how cathartic it can be to vent your feelings on social media? To be witnessed, "heard", and feel like you're not alone? So good, right?
But then, there are other times it feels like it's impossible to truly vent on social media because posts can feel like little written perfomances for your friends, colleagues, and the rest of the world ... so you hesitate, because you have to polish your thoughts just right, and even if you get them just as you want them, it's totally possible you could wind up in a heated conversation with someone you haven't spoken to since high school who does not appreciate your venting at all. And then it's just not worth it, right?
Well, that's a big part of why I’m doing in these Write Your Stress Out sessions.
Because getting out of our heads and putting some of our pandemic panic, anxiety, fear, and frustration on the page has an almost magical calming effect.
And not having to weigh and measure what you say, how you say it, or worry about how people are going to react? Damn, does that feel good.
(And being among other women doing the same? Double magic.)
I've been offering these groups since the COVID-19 hit the fan, and we've had big crowds, and small groups, but every single time, the women walk away feeling a little bit better (sometimes a lot better) ... and armed with tools to help manage the swirling emotions from the pandemic shit-show we now call our lives.
The best news? These sessions are now pay-what-you-can.
Yeah, you read that right. Pay. What. You. Can.
There’s a session this Thursday, the 23rd, at 5pm ET, and there are additional sessions on:
- May 6th at 2pm
- May 13th at noon
- May 21 at 3:30pm
- June 2nd at 11:30am (all ET).
(Additional June dates to be announced soon ...)
Want to join us? Details on how to register can be found here.
Hope to see you on Thursday ... and in the meantime, I'm sending all good vibes.
