Intensive Portrait Drawing Workshop at HAM
WHEN: Saturday, March 7, at 10 a.m
WHERE: Hunterdon Art Museum, 7 Lower Center St., Clinton
HAM is offering a new six-hour intensive program with artist Oscar Peterson, where you can explore various aspects of portrait drawing with a live/clothed model.
Work from both short and long poses as you learn to capture and realistically depict the basic anatomy and proportions of the human head. Learn about the mistakes that most artists—beginner to intermediate—tend to make, and the different approaches professional artists take to correct them.
This workshop, for adults and teens ages 16 and up, is open to all skill levels interested in improving their knowledge not only of drawing faces, but also on how to create the likeness of a person.
Explorations in Clay
Your child will have a blast getting his or her hands dirty while learning how to work with clay in this after-school class for five to seven year olds.
Through various projects, your little one will discover the basic techniques of creating pinch pots, coil pots, and slab projects.
WHEN: Starts Monday, March 9, at 5 p.m. and runs for five weeks.
