New Non-profit Organization in the NJ/NYC Area Hosts Free Community Event

Taalim Foundation, a newly found Non-Profit organization in the NJ/NYC area, will hold its second installation of a monthly series concert program in Highland Park, NJ.

The show features Jay Gandhi on Bansuri and Mike Lukshis as the tabla accompaniment. Astha Shukla will be our second artist of the night who is a Hindustani vocalist with Amod Dandawate as tabla accompaniment and Suresh Benegal as Harmonium accompaniment. We are also excited to introduce Neil Khare who will perform a tabla solo and Ajita Nair as harmonium accompaniment.

The Taalim Foundation specializes in teaching and promoting Indian classical music in conjunction with contemplative, philosophical traditions from India and beyond. The Foundation’s goal is not only to produce musicians of the highest caliber, but also to help musicians transform their practice into a lifelong spiritual path.
