A message from NJFO Board President Keith Hertell

A MESSAGE FROM NJFO BOARD PRESIDENT KEITH S. HERTELL

Dear Valued NJFO Patrons,

We at the New Jersey Festival Orchestra consider the health, safety and well-being of our patrons, musicians and staff to be our highest priority. We continue to monitor the COVID-19 (coronavirus) global health pandemic and the recommendations of the CDC, New Jersey Department of Health, Madison Health Department and Westfield Board of Health and our venue partners.

In order to help protect our communities we have taken the following actions:

•     The NJFO administrative office in Westfield is operating with limited staff and reduced opening hours.

•     The NJFO fundraising gala, Casino Night, originally scheduled for Saturday, April 25th has been postponed until later this year. As our largest fundraising event, this would have provided significant funds to enable us to move forward into the 20-21 season.

•     The Annual Tour of Notable Homes presented by the Friends of NJFO originally scheduled for May 9th has also been postponed. This too will significantly impact our ability to operate effectively next season.

We are currently monitoring the situation and assessing the status of our May 30/31 season finale concerts Russian Nights. We will have more information in the coming weeks regarding these performances and will communicate with you about this as soon as we possibly can.

Please be assured that if you have or have had reservations for any NJFO performance cancelled due to coronavirus issues we invite you to exchange your tickets for a future NJFO concert of your choice.

If you would like to donate your tickets back to NJFO, or make a financial contribution to the organization, please let us know and an official donation acknowledgment and receipt will be provided. Please reach out to us at patronservices@njfestivalorchestra.org.

Thank you for your patience, consideration and understanding during these extraordinary and unprecedented circumstances. Above all, thank you for your dedication as a member of the NJFO family. NJFO is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide live music to audiences and opportunities for musicians to play. You are the reason we are here….. this season and in future seasons.

Yours truly,

Keith Hertell, NJFO Board President
