Into The Woods

WHEN: Sunday March 1, 2020 at 7pm and Monday March 2, 2020 at 7 pm. (Invited callbacks, if necessary, will be held on Saturday, March 7 at 10am.) Actors are asked to arrive to sign in within the first hour of the audition start time on either March 1 or March 2 (no need to attend both). If necessary, callbacks will be by invitation.

Performances: May 15-June 6, 2020 (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays). Please note there are also benefit performances on May 22 (Friday) and May 28 and June 4 (both Thursdays). All cast members must be available for all performances including Thursday benefits. Please also note: the Saturday, May 16 performance and all Sunday performances are 2pm matinees; all other performances are at 8pm.
Show Description: Into The Woods follows the stories of a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results. Into The Woods is James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim take everyone's favorite storybook characters, bringing them together for a timeless, yet relevant piece ... and a rare modern classic. The Tony Award-winning book and score are both enchanting and touching.

As Narrator: an intellectual and pleasant story-teller who helps to orchestrate the show and illustrate lessons to the audience. As Mysterious Man: a mischievous vagrant and nosy meddler; he is a good-natured protector and observer.
