The cast includes FOUR Artistic Directors from other professional NJ theatres including Carl Wallnau (Centenary Stage Company), Frank Licato (Hudson Theatre Works), Paul Whelihan (Pushcart Players) and Michael Bias (Garage Theatre). In addition, The Company welcomes back a veteran of their stage and Advisory Board, Teddy Coluca, who appears as Brimley on NBC’s “The Blacklist.” Rounding out the cast are founding member of The Company, Andrea Prendamano; Gary Martins and Scott Cagney from StrangeDog Theatre; Mark Quiles who performs professionally all throughout NY & NJ; Actor/Director/Vocal Instructor/Singer Reegan McKenzie, and Danielle Cornell and Phillip Hannah who have previously appeared with The Company and other theatres in NY & NJ. There are female actors in the cast, but the title and dialogue have not been changed.

12 Angry Men is the story of a young man accused of fatally stabbing of his father in what appears to be an open and shut case. But is it?  In a jury of 12, one man stands alone; fighting racism, personal vendettas, apathy and arrogance, in his quest for justice. As relevant today as when it was written 65 years ago, “12 Angry Men” is a powerful example of what can happen when a failed system delivers everything but justice.

Founded in 2007, The Company Theatre Group is a non-profit, professional company of actors, writers, and directors in residence at The Hackensack Performing Arts Center, Hackensack, NJ.

Drawing inspiration from the acclaimed Group Theatre, The Company is dedicated to developing and nurturing artists in an imaginative and safe setting, while at the same time pushing the boundaries of contemporary theatre with its non-choreographed style of production. Like the Group Theatre, The Company creates heightened authentic human behavior on stage or “Life in Fiction” as we like to call it. Our actors truly live in the moment, so no two performances are ever the same.

The Company creates an entertaining environment and a thought-provoking experience where each audience member can feel like a 'fly on the wall', watching the lives and events of real people in real situations unfold (and sometimes unravel) right before their eyes.
