INTERESTED IN SEEING WORK BY TALENTED LOCAL ARTISTS? THEN YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS THIS STUDIO MONTCLAIR EVENT

Studio Montclair enthusiastically announces its third annual

Affair of the Art

WHEN: Saturday, November 16, from 7pm to 11pm
WHERE:
Montclair’s brand-new, art-focused MC Hotel located at 690 Bloomfield Avenue, Montclair, NJ.
TICKETS: Tickets can be purchased on the Studio Montclair website

The event—exemplifying the stature of the arts as a cornerstone of the Montclair community—promises a lively evening of music, dancing, sketches in real time by local artist Ling Chen, and delicious food and drink catered by the MC Hotel.

This event also features a sale of artwork from Studio Montclair members—over 100 examples of outstanding painting, photography, mixed media, collage, sculpture, printmaking and art glass, that has been selected by Juror Shannon Bonifas. The event is the first major event to be hosted by the new hotel that is open to the entire Montclair community. It will be held in Exhibition Ballroom located on the 2nd floor of the hotel.

The Affair of the Art is SMI’s biggest and most successful fundraiser, enabling the organization to support its three galleries, multiple programs, and services throughout the calendar year. As the first major community event to be held at the MC hotel, a large and diverse crowd of art lovers, supporters, and collectors is anticipated to attend. Judy Typaldos and Stephanie Hutton, co-chairs of the event, said, “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring the community together to showcase some of the amazing artistic talent right here in our own backyard. Studio Montclair offers their members many opportunities for exhibiting art, networking, and professional development; it’s a great support system for artists. Our goal as co-chairs is for our guests to learn more about how Studio Montclair can benefit artists as well as our community as a whole. Studio Montclair brings art as a cornerstone to the economic development of the entire Montclair community through presence in their galleries spanning the area.” (Left: Jose Arvelo, Fuga, Reclaimed Wood Assemblage, 42″x42″x4″)
