The Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County, in affiliation with the Jewish Federation in the Heart of New Jersey, presents a fundraising concert, An Evening of Musical Favorites featuring Cantor Wayne Siet, accompanied by David Schlossberg.
Cantor Wayne S. Siet served Temple Shaari Emeth in Manalapan, New Jersey for 43 years, and retired in 2017. Cantor worked with the Adult and Junior Choirs who enhanced services with inspirational music during the High Holy Days and Shabbat services. He was also actively involved in the general community and supported Refugee Settlement ORT, Deborah Hospital, B’nai Brith, National Council of Jewish Women, and Open Door. Cantor Siet is now enjoying time with his wife, children and eight grandchildren. When not devoting time to them, he can be found on the golf course, trying to improve his game!
David Schlossberg is a professional improvisational pianist from Monroe, New Jersey. A member of numerous musical groups around the New Brunswick area, Schlossberg is an advocate for musical growth. His eclectic music tastes include Jewish folk, jazz, and classical music. Schlossberg’s greatest strength is his ability to improvise accompaniment for vocalists, instrumentalists, and choirs. He possesses a deep knowledge of the Great American Songbook.
