ABOUT AND A CHILD SHALL LEAD

And A Child Shall Lead by Michael Slade is a historical fiction play, based in the Terezin Concentration Camp, in Terezin, Czechoslovakia. Over 15,000 children were sent to the camp throughout World War II, and fewer than 100 survived.

The play centers around 8 young prisoners during the Holocaust and their battles against the horrors of mass extinction and the loss of loved ones—and how those affected cope with struggling faith and the value of art.

ABOUT DANIEL TRAMONTANA

Daniel Tramontana is honored to have been given this opportunity to direct one of the many acclaimed Monday Night Play Readings here at the barn. He is 17 years old and will be starting his senior year at Howell High School. He’s returning to Holmdel after being seen as Ponyboy Curtis in The Outsiders. This is his first complete directorial credit and would like to thank both of his parents, all of his arts educators and every young theatrical type that continues to make his life better and better.
