Join renowned professional chamber choir, Kinnara Ensemble, as we wander through the years, from Renaissance motets through 20th century part songs. Music to include White's Lamentations of Jeremiah, Debussy's Trois Chansons and works by Stanford and Gibbons.
Comprising some of the finest ensemble and solo singers in the country, Kinnara Ensemble is one of the nation’s premier professional chamber choirs. Under the direction of J.D. Burnett, who also serves as Associate Director of Choral Activities at the University of Georgia, the choir performs a wide variety of standard choral repertoire from all eras. Kinnara Ensemble strives to honor the capacious choral tradition with exemplary choral experiences that speak to the modern soul.
Now in its eleventh season, Kinnara Ensemble released its first commercial recorded album, Provenance, in September 2017 on the Affetto label, distributed internationally by Naxos. Including Johannes Brahms’ double choir motets, Fest- und Gedenksprüche, selections from Francis Poulenc’s Sept Chansons and Alberto Ginastera’s Lamentations of Jeremiah, Provenance is available for streaming on Spotify, and for sale on iTunes and Amazon.
