JAZZ THIS WEEK IN NEW BRUNSWICK

Part of NBJP's mission is to showcase the next generation of jazz musicians ... the future "greats!" This is a chance to see them NOW!  Drummer Chelsea Hughey leads the band the session. Our Session Special Guest Artist* is guitarist Matt Chertkoff.

Jackie Jones has electrified audiences throughout the United States as well as in Switzerland, Russia, Germany and Portugal, and of course right here in New Brunswick; She is currently teaching Jazz Voice at NJPAC. Ms. Jones musical associations are formidable... she has opened for the legendary Lou Rawls and has performed with many noteworthy artists including Nat Adderley, Jr.,Roy Ayers, Steve Nelson, Don Braden, Houston Person & Christian McBride.

SpeakMusic Conservatory is an innovative music school dedicated to individualized, creative music instruction for students of all levels and ages.The SMC Jazz Faculty, Aaron Weiman-piano, Anthony Ware - saxophones, Mike Noordzy - Bass and Corey Rawls - drums, will be performing a mix of standards and original compositions. All four members work regularly with the top professionals in the jazz world both in the NJ/NY area and around.

Stephen is known for his smooth virtuosity, which spans the breadth of jazz, blues, latin, swing, bossa nova and contemporary classics.  This dynamic bass/baritone sings to packed houses, across the predominately upscale supper club circuit, on either side of the Hudson River. Come out Friday and enjoy your favorite cocktail or pasta and "Fullersounds!
