JAZZ THIS WEEK IN NEW BRUNSWICK

Part of NBJP's mission is to showcase the next generation of jazz musicians...the future "greats!" This is  a chance to see them NOW! Tuesday guitarist Jon KIrschner leads the band and for the month of May, the jam session special guest* every Tuesday will be tenor saxophonist Ralph Bowen.  

* Special guest artist funding provided, in part, by a grant from the Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders.

Rob Edwards is one the bright new voices in jazz trombone today.The Julliard grade has performed with Jimmy Heath, Claudio Roditi, Roy Hargrove, Christian McBride, and the Dizzy Gillespie All-Star Big Band.

Jackie is back!! Jones has electrified audiences throughout the United States as well as internationally, including tours in Switzerland, Russia, Germany and Portugal, and of course right here in New Brunswick; She is currently teaching Jazz Voice at NJPAC.  Ms. Jones musical associations are formidable... she has opened for the legendary Lou Rawls and has performed with numerous noteworthy artists including Nat Adderley, Jr.,Roy Ayers, Steve Nelson, Don Braden, Ray Gaskins, Houston Person, Jimmy Ponder, Christian McBride
