Joining the Choral Society for this concert of French music are the Newark Arts High School Advanced Chorus (the nation’s first public high school for the Arts) and the Newark Boys’ Chorus Touring Choir. “What a joy it is for us to perform a major masterwork such as Durufle’s Requiem alongside young artists!” said Artistic Director Dr. Deborah Simpkin King.
“Both directors—Donald Morris of NBCS and Jerry Forderhase of NAHS—are brilliant and dedicated educators, as well as long-time friends and colleagues, and their students’ singing is inspirational!”
