IAC Cinematec at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades will present Amor, as part of an ongoing series designed to bring people together to enjoy screening acclaimed Israeli films and participate in unique dialogues with film experts.

Gil Alon and Anat Atzmon[4]In this fascinating and profoundly moving film, an abstract artist who has been wandering around Europe for three years, returns home to his small farming village in Israel, which is also the home to a former dancer, who is now paralyzed with no will to live. The film explores the great demands love can make on us, and how memories are both fragile and fleeting, but sometimes all that we have.

The evening will begin at 6:30 with a reception with Director Rafael Rebibo and Producer Martine Fitoussi. The film screening will take place at 7:30, followed by a Talk Back dialogue with Director Rafael Rebibo and Eran Polishuk, Director of Film & Media, Consulate General of Israel, at 9 pm. The evening will also include an exhibition of two wonderful artists, Shosh Earnst & Nira Chorev, whose work will be for sale with 40% being donated by the artists to benefit the IAC Cinematec program.

The screening has been made possible in collaboration with Jewish Federation of Northern NJ’s Israel Film Festival.
