JAZZ THIS WEEK IN NEW BRUNSWICK

John's dynamic original music is a unique blend of jazz, Latin, Brazilian, rhythm and blues, and world music. His original music can be heard on Telarc and Dream Box records, "Jazz Showcase," an internationally released CD  compilation of Telarc's greatest jazz recordings. As pianist for international jazz recording artist Steve Nelson for 5+years, and Jeanie Bryson  10+ years, John has also worked with Cassandra Wilson, Terence Blanchard, Regina Belle, Christy Baron,  Charlie Rouse, Bobby Watson, and many others.

Born and raised in the Bronx, NY, trumpeter Bruce Harris has earned a reputation as one of the most important and emerging voices in jazz today.  In addition to well established reputation on the international jazz scene, Bruce has been featured in two Broadway shows; After Midnight (2013) and Shuffle Along (2016), performing with the likes of Fantasia Barrino, Patti Labelle, KD Lang, Tony Braxton, and Audra McDonald. Harris' eclectic list of collaborations include notable artists like: Lady Gaga, Rihanna,Steve Martin,Seth MacFarlane,Harry Connick Jr. Harris's career spans the globe with multiple tours as a performer and educator.

An invitation to sing with a local jazz trio got Swedish born Emma Larsson, hooked. While studying classical piano at the Janacek Conservatory in the Czech Republic, Emma sat in with the group on one of their gigs and never looked back.
