The Crosswinds Trio will present a musical journey from the 16th century to the present, from the Renaissance music of Caccini to the Latin style music of Piazzolla, and from Handel’s Water Music to a medley from George Gershwin’s prolific pen. But that’s not all: the Trio will perform jazz arrangements of gospel favorites and even a Gallop by Louis Gottschalk.

The Crosswinds Trio’s unique sound is chamber music with innovative arrangements and creations. Gary Ross (trumpet), Lawrence Kursar (horn), and Michael Toth (piano) draw from their diverse backgrounds and experiences from the orchestral stage, the jazz club and the recital halls to offer a program appealing to the entire family.

Tumpeter Gary Ross has a wide range of credits, performing with several orchestras including the Trenton Symphony and creating jazz improvisations which won him acclaim from audiences young and old. Because of these experiences, he is in constant demand.

Lawrence Kursar (horn) wears several hats: performer, conductor and arranger.  A founding member of Band du Soleil and The Crosswinds Trio, he has performed internationally with many orchestras and the Main Street Brass Quintet.  Kursar’s venues include the Academy of Music in Philadelphia and the Wang Center in Boston where he conducted a stage orchestra for the Bolshoi Ballet.  He performs regularly with the Trenton Civic Opera Orchestra and the Allentown Symphony.

Pianist, Michael Toth, made his concert debut at the young age of 14 at Carnegie Recital Hall. He has gone on to perform both in the U.S. and abroad as soloist and accompanist. With experience performing on all types of keyboards, Toth is one of the most versatile pianists available today. Currently, Michael is the pianist with the Allentown Symphony.
