Alexis, a native of Newark and currently lives in Plainfield, began singing in church at the age of three. Since that time Alexis has performed at U.S. OPEN, Central Jersey Jazz Festival/ New Brunswick, NJPAC with Christian McBride, South Jazz Parlor in Philadelphia and Millennium Stage at The KENNEDY CENTER. Grammy Award-winning tenor saxophonist Wayne Escoffery began his career touring and recording with the Eric Reed Septet. Wayne has since performed with Tom Harrell, Carl Allen, the Mingus Big Band, Ralph Peterson, Rufus Reid, Bill Charlap, Bruce Barth, Jimmy Cobb, Eddie Henderson, Mary Stallings, Cynthia Scott, LaVerne Butler, and Carolyn Leonhart. In addition to performing with his own band, Escoffery also plays and tours with Monty Alexander, Amina Figarova and many others. In 2014 Wayne won the 62nd Annual Downbeat Critics Poll for rising star on the Tenor Saxophone. Wayne Escoffery

Hendrik Meurkens, a virtuoso on both the chromatic harmonica and the vibraphone, is the most important jazz harmonica player since Toots Thielemans. Jackie Jones has electrified audiences throughout the United States as well as internationally, including tours in Switzerland, Russia, Germany and Portugal, and is currently teaching Jazz Voice at NJPAC.
