Alexis, a native of Newark and currently lives in Plainfield, began singing in church at the age of three. Since that time Alexis has performed at U.S. OPEN, Central Jersey Jazz Festival/ New Brunswick, NJPAC with Christian McBride, South Jazz Parlor in Philadelphia and Millennium Stage at The KENNEDY CENTER. Grammy Award-winning tenor saxophonist Wayne Escoffery began his career touring and recording with the Eric Reed Septet. Wayne has since performed with Tom Harrell, Carl Allen, the Mingus Big Band, Ralph Peterson, Rufus Reid, Bill Charlap, Bruce Barth, Jimmy Cobb, Eddie Henderson, Mary Stallings, Cynthia Scott, LaVerne Butler, and Carolyn Leonhart. In addition to performing with his own band, Escoffery also plays and tours with Monty Alexander, Amina Figarova and many others. Jackie Jones has electrified audiences throughout the United States as well as internationally, including tours in Switzerland, Russia, Germany and Portugal, and is currently teaching Jazz Voice at NJPAC.
Ms. Jones musical associations are formidable indeed. She has opened for the legendary Lou Rawls and has performed with numerous noteworthy artists including Nat Adderley, Jr.,Roy Ayers, Steve Nelson, Don Braden, Ray Gaskins, Houston Person, Jimmy Ponder, Christian McBride. Jackie Jones
