For Summer Art Camp, several of the teaching artists will be on hand to share with parents and children the Art Center’s teaching philosophy, designed to bring out children’s talents and creativity. Teachers will showcase some of the projects for summer campers from drawing to printmaking and digital projects and more. Parents and campers are invited to tour the entire Studio School, which encompasses nine working art studios.
In addition, students of all ages will be able to meet new teaching artists for the Spring semester, including faculty from such disciplines as painting, ceramics, sculpture, and fiber. Every instructor present will be ready to answer questions and demonstrate techniques available in offereings this spring and summer.
Major support for the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey is provided by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts, the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, the Walter V. and Judith L. Shipley Family Foundation, the Wilf Family Foundations, and Art Center members and donors.
