LA STRADA ENSEMBLE GOES “NYC” WITH 2 ONE-ACT PLAYS

BAD BOYS: Johnny & Paula and a Twister by A.J. Ciccotelli—two one acts dealing in the lighter ... and darker sides of ne'er-do-wells—will run as part of this year's Spotlight-On Festival.

JOHNNY & PAULA IN A TREE opens with Johnny trying to get back together with Paula after two failed attempts. When they were little kids, instead of kissing Paula - he pulls her hair. They try it again in High School but Johnny dumps her after she would not 'put out' sexually. Now they are trying it again but this time Paula is willing to have sex with him. With pleasure comes a price.

TWISTER opens with Rock, owner and bartender of Old Charlie's Bar and Grill in a small Midwestern college town right before it is to be hit by an incoming twister. Into the bar, Lily enters. Turns out they're old friends. Attraction ensues and during their lovemaking Rock learns that the twisters is the least of his worries.

JOHNNY AND PAULA IN A TREE features Ankit Sharma, Alexandria Pascucci, and Kevin Gabel. TWISTER cast includes Rachel Barrer, Doug Bollinger and W. Allen Wrede.
