Alla Axelrod is a pianist, organist and musical comedienne. She’s been performing on Tri-State stages for over 25 years, playing solo, directing musicals and doing her perennial Open Mic at “Nagles” Ocean Grove for 18 years. Previously, Alla was seen on The JHMOMC stage in several shows including “Music and Magic,” “Movie Magic,” and “Last of the Red Hot Yiddish Mamas.” Alla lives in Matawan with her daughter and two cats.

Marti Bookstein happily returns to The JHMOMC with the talented Alla Axelrod! Marti has appeared in plays, cabarets, musicals, and operas over the years as ingénues, comediennes, tragic divas, leading ladies and chorines. Two of her favorite roles include ones in Nettie in Carousel, and Amalia in She Loves Me. Most recently, she reprised the characters of Mrs. Pearce in My Fair Lady, Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music, and Mrs. Bedwin in Oliver.

Dorothy Dobkowski is also thrilled to be back at The JHMOMC where she has performed with Oasis Players. Dorothy is a songleader/cantor in Northern New Jersey and performs locally with Spotlight Players. Her favorite roles include: Desiree Armfeldt in Sondheim’s A Little Night Music and Elizabeth, the choir director, in the original musical, The Choir Room by Clifford Greene and Justin Ryan.

Sam Levine most recently, has performed as guest artist for Rock Hashanah at Temple Rodeph Torah and continues to sing his original family songs with PJ Library events throughout Monmouth County which included an opening performance for acclaimed Jewish Rock singer Rick Recht. Currently, he teaches music at Solomon Schechter Day School in Marlboro and Congregation Torat El in Ocean. His favorite roles include Mr. Mushnik (Little Shop of Horrors), Isidor Straus (Titanic), Benny Southstreet (Guys and Dolls), Judge Turpin (Sweeney Todd), and William Barfee (25TH Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee).
