The presentation, which is suggested for audience members ages 14 and older, is part of the Theatre’s Major Artists Series.

In Life in Motion, Joseph Cashore presents his amazing collection of marionettes portraying characters that convey depth, integrity, and humanity. The performance—truly unlike anything else in theater today—offers a series of scenes taken from everyday life and is set to beautiful music by such composers as Beethoven, Vivaldi, Strauss, and Copland. Through a combination of virtuoso manipulation, humor, pathos, classical music, and poetic insight, the marionettes take the audience on a journey that celebrates the richness of life.

Life in Motion is a powerful, entertaining, surprising, theatrically satisfying, one-of-a-kind experience for adults and young adults. The Toronto Sun wrote of the Cashore Marionettes: “A wonderful world of breath-taking magic is created by one man and his exquisite marionettes.”
