STUDIO PLAYERS SEEKS ACTORS FOR CHILDREN’S SHOW

AUDITION NOTICE:

Performance dates: February 13, 14, 20, 21 at 1:30 and 3:30. Please note: performances are over Presidents’ Day weekend, and we cannot cast anyone who plans to be away that weekend.

Performers must be at every performance and be available for rehearsals Sunday through Thursday the week the show opens. 

No monologues required.

Evil Mayor Trick Tricky has decided to destroy the last forest so that he can build a cement city with a massive waterpark. The forest is the beloved home of Robin Hood and the fairy tale friends. They must band together to stop Mayor Trick Tricky, and save their forest. But with the odds stacked against them, can Robin Hood, the merry band of fairy tale friends, and new characters they meet along the way, do it?

ROBIN HOOD AND THE FAIRY TALE FRIENDS TO THE RESCUE CHARACTER BREAKDOWN

  • Mayor Trick Tricky: Male (11-18), the evil single-minded mayor who is not hesitant to destroy Robin Hood and the Fairy Tale Friend’s forest for his own personal gain.
  • City Planner: Male/female (8-18), helps Mayor Trick Tricky execute his plans to destroy the forests.
  • Construction Worker 1: Male/female (8-18), works for Mayor Trick Tricky and City Planner, easily confused.
  • Construction Worker 2: Male/female (8-18), works for Mayor Trick Tricky and City Planner, animal lover.
  • Robin Hood: Male/female (10-18), a passionate bird with a sharp tongue who leads his friends in their fight to save the forest.
  • Cinderella: Female (8-18), kind and compassionate, wants to save the forest.
  • Little Red Whining Hood: Female (8-18), constantly whines and complains about everything, but wants to do the right thing.
  • Gnarly Pig: Male/female (8-18), wants to be a pro-surfer.
  • Glamour Pig: Male/female (8-18), always wants to look her best.
  • Grouchy Pig: Male/female (8-18), an unpleasant grouch.
  • Wolf: Male/female (8-18), the not-so-big-bad-wolf, who dreams of being tough but is easily scared.
  • Mr. Vegan: Male (11-18), the local butcher who has too many pigs.
  • Mrs. Vegan: Female (11-18), Mr. Vegan’s wife.
  • Dogcatcher: Male/female (8-18), works at the local dog pound.
