The Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County has acquired over 20 vintage American mah jongg sets from the 1940s-1970s, which are now being made available for purchase! The sets in original cases may include tiles that are white or colored, or made of Bakelite, and include racks and dice. Proceeds from the sets will benefit the Museum.
There will also be an opportunity to meet local authors (and illustrator), Dawn Wilensky and Adar Darnov, and purchase signed copies of their books, No Ordinary Yarmulke, and Rededication: The Art of Hanukkah, respectively. In addition, jewelry, artwork, hand painted silk scarves, handcrafted note cards, Judaica from The Tallit Corner, and more will be available from local crafters and other vendors. Come and shop for that special gift, or the mah jong set you’ve been thinking about owning!
Admission is free and refreshments will be provided.
