Here’s a show that really has legs! This American Life host Ira Glass has joined forces with choreographer/dancer Monica Bill Barnes and dancer Anna Bass to combine two art forms— radio storytelling and dance—that have no business being together, although their work shares a sensibility.

Their performance, which has no talking by the dancers and no movement by Glass, includes radio interviews re-staged as dance pieces, plus stories from the lives of each of the three performers. Glass delivers his trademark narratives and the two dancers evoke characters through movement.

As the title indicates, the show is in three acts: Act I is about the job of being a performer. Act two: about falling in love and what it means to stay in love. Act three: nothing lasts forever. In short, it’s Ira Glass with dance moves. Hard to imagine? Come and find out.
