Daydreamer Productions, Ocean County’s “Best Community Theatre” as voted by the Asbury Park Press since 2012, will kick off its first winter season with the premiere of WORLD OF COLOR: Christmas Wonders.

According to the company, “WORLD OF COLOR is an outdoor, NJACT Perry Award nominated nighttime spectacular. The show features live musical performances in one thrilling evening extravaganza. As unforgettable scenes and songs from family-favorite Disney and Christmas films are depicted live, you’ll be inspired to reminisce about romances, look back at past friendships and relive remarkable holiday adventures.”

clip_image004This World of Color Christmas show—the most impressive and fanciful nighttime extravaganza Daydreamer Productions has ever produced—is accompanied by momentous music, and also includes fantastic LED lights, thrilling choreography, snow, steam, bubbles, strobe lighting, fog and laser effects.

The show is directed/co-designed by Nicholas Wainwright, 2015 Ocean County Mover & Shaker, and Artistic Director of Daydreamer Productions. When asked about the production, Wainwright stated “WORLD OF COLOR: Christmas Wonders is an exciting new step for the company. We are giving people that do not normally have the chance to see theatre a live nighttime spectacular event, during the most magical time of the year. The original 2015 WORLD OF COLOR show had a wonderful summer tour, the production was nominated for an NJACT Perry Award as Best Original Musical of 2015. WORLD OF COLOR is a truly magnificent way to reach new audiences all over the county and get them excited about the arts!”

“Crowds have been as big as 1500 to see this live, outdoors production. With the inspiration coming from Disney Park’s nighttime shows, we have created an enticing night of entertainment. And of course, the production is FREE to attend, just bring your favorite blanket and chairs!” Wainwright says.
