Mark Shane's piano reflects a true sense of living jazz history and continues the tradition of buoyant swing and lyrical melodic improvisation. He has accompanied many well-known signers and played many famous events including the 50th anniversary of Benny Goodman at Carnegie Hall and for several Presidential Inaugural Balls.
At the Bickford, he will be surrounded by a band of renowned musicians guaranteed to swing, including Dan Levinson (clarinet & sax), Matt Hoffmann (vibes), Jennifer Vincent (bass) and Kevin Dorn (drums).
