khan flowersOutdoor Photography: Near and Far, an exhibition of striking photographs taken around the world, will be on display in Tenafly.

Eva Kahn, a clinical social worker and psychotherapist, became seriously interested in photography some twenty seven years ago and perfected her photographic expertize at the Teaneck Camera Club.

khan hummingbirdWith a new telephoto lens in hand, Eva made a trip to Kenya and Tanzania, which inspired her to photograph nature and wildlife close-up.  Observing and capturing natural phenomena, especially animals, has been her passion ever since. She has travelled to many United States National Parks, South, East and West Africa, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand.  Eva has studied and traveled with nationally known nature photographers, including Joe Lange, Daniel Poleschook Jr., John Shaw, Joe and MaryAnn Mcdonald, Douglas Moore and others.  She has had many photographic exhibitions.

“I’ve learned to recognize the decisive moment in animal behavior, the skillful use of light and shadow, and design elements in landscapes,” says Eva. “My goal is to look for elusive moments in ordinary scenes and capture them with my camera.  “
