SUMMER ACTIVITIES FOR ALL AGES @ LIBERTY HALL MUSEUM IN UNION

History Happy Hour

How often do you get a chance to hang around a museum and enjoy a few drinks? Have a drink with your friends at Liberty Hall Museum as you sip, snack and socialize while learning some fun history facts! Taking place the last Friday of every month, History Happy Hour will cover a different topic that will make history more fun for everyone! Must be 21 years or older to attend. Admission includes 2 drinks, snacks, trivia and time to mingle.

Toys through Time: A Hands-On Children's Workshop

In anticipation of Liberty Hall’s newest exhibit opening this fall, please join us for an afternoon of fun filled with toys!  Toys Through Time: History of American Fun will feature an array of toys from over the centuries, so bring the kids and learn what the children of Liberty Hall played with over the past 240 years! This workshop features hands-on toys the kids can play with, as well as the opportunity to make their own historic board game! Afterwards, enjoy light refreshments.

Afternoon Tea in the Gardens

For the first time ever, enjoy our tremendously popular tea service outside in our beautiful gardens! In the grand tradition of Mary Alice Kean, the last lady of the house, join Liberty Hall for its exquisite Afternoon Tea. The tea includes a sumptuous selection of scones, assorted pastries, traditional finger sandwiches, and the freshest of fruit.  As you enjoy your afternoon tea experience, listen to a talk about the history of the gardens of Liberty Hall and receive gardening tips on the proper care of roses. A tour of Liberty Hall Museum will immediately follow the tea.

A Child's View of History

Join Liberty Hall Museum for a special summer children's activity! In this unique tour, children and their parents will view the Museum through the eyes of its youngest former occupants: the children who inhabited Liberty Hall over the past 240 years. History has never been so "hands-on," with each room your child visits featuring a variety of artifacts they are welcome to touch! Tours also include outdoor games and light refreshments, and are all conducted by our friendly and knowledgeable staff in period clothing. Recommended for ages 6 - 12.

Summer Fun Days

Bring your child to Liberty Hall for a day filled with summer fun while learning about history! Each week, different activities will take place, so don’t miss out on all the fun! The day includes hands-on learning, outdoor games, a craft project, and light refreshments. Recommended for ages 5 – 12.
