LOVE LETTERS is a disarmingly funny and unforgettably emotional portrait about the powerful connection of love. Childhood friends Andrew and Melissa share fifty years of friendship through countless letters—from grade school valentines to romantic missives, they express their hopes and fears, loves and losses. But long after the letters are done, the real question remains: Have they made the right choices or is the love of their life only a letter away?

“We loved having David here when he directed It Shoulda Been You (which premiered at the Playhouse prior to its current Broadway run), and I am thrilled and grateful he is returning for this very special performance.  I have long wanted to have Debra at George Street, and I am thrilled she will be joining us,” said Mr. Saint.

Perhaps best known for his role on TV's iconic comedy, Frasier, David Hyde Pierce earned four Emmy® Awards among many other accolades. He can currently be seen in a recurring guest role on the critically acclaimed CBS drama The Good Wife

Pierce made his Broadway directorial debut with the new musical, It Shoulda Been You, which he originally directed at George Street Playhouse. Broadway acting credits: Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike (Tony Award nomination), La Bête, Accent on Youth, Curtains (Tony Award), Spamalot, The Heidi Chronicles, Beyond Therapy.

Debra Monk has been nominated four times for the Tony Award, winning for Featured Actress in a Play for Redwood Curtain. She also was nominated for Picnic, Steel Pier, and Curtains. She's appeared in 11 Broadway shows, most recently as Big Mama in the 2013 revival of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. She is co-author of the classic Tony-nominated musical Pump Boys and Dinettes.
