Marylou Hillyer Members Show & Sale
Due to the Memorial Day weekend, the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey is extending its deadline for entries to Friday, May 29, 2015 for the Marylou Hillyer Members Show & Sale. Cash prizes will be awarded for Best in Show and in several mediums, totaling over $1,000.
The show will be judged by Shlomit Dror (right), a New York-based curator and writer who recently curated Ready or Not: 2014 New Jersey Arts Annual at the Newark Museum. About her experience and the upcoming Members Show she said, “It’s important for me to promote and raise awareness on local artists and art being made in New Jersey. I am always delighted to learn about new artists, find exciting work processes and approaches and see a range of ideas expressed across a variety of disciplines.”
The summer exhibition showcases the artwork of 150 Art Center Members and will be on view through August 23. Participation in the Members Show & Sale is open to all current adult members.
Entry deadline is May 29, 2015. Space is limited.

An opening reception will be held on Friday, June 26, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and is free and open to all.
