As a professional theatre company in residence at Kean University, Premiere Stages actively engages and enhances the specialized training programs at Kean, while embracing and serving a culturally diverse audience, underserved local youth, and a broad pool of gifted regionally-based artists.

Playwrights Theatre has teamed up with the National New Play Network, the New Jersey Theatre Alliance and six additional theatres to present New Plays New Jersey, a celebration of New Works by New Jersey Writers and the Theatres that present them.

Seven theatres in the state have selected a new work by a New Jersey writer to be presented in a week-long festival of Concert Readings at The Bickford Theatre at the Morris Museum, performed by professional actors, many familiar to New Jersey audiences.
