Children and adults with disabilities have the same needs that all of us have: acceptance, tolerance, support and most of all, love. The only difference is that people with special needs sometimes require additional folks surrounding them and physical accommodations to achieve those goals. To meet these goals, the Special Needs Department needs to raise funds.

The wonderful group of teens and adults that have worked tirelessly to organize the 2015 Dance-A-Thon are so excited to be a part of this process.

This very special event is put together by a dedicated group of teens from the local community alongside individuals with special needs. The event is open so anyone can come. Individuals can make donations towards the event or just attend to help us raise awareness.

JCC MetroWest is a non-profit community organization which serves the needs of hundreds of children, teens and adults with special needs.  Children and adults with disabilities have the same needs that all of us have:  acceptance, tolerance, support and most of all, love. The only difference is that people with special needs sometimes require additional supports surrounding them and physical accommodations to achieve those goals.

To meet these goals, the Special Needs Department needs to raise funds. All proceeds from the 6th Annual Dance-a-Thon will go towards supporting the Special Needs Services department.

The Special Needs Services department at JCC MetroWest offers those with special needs a wide variety of programs and support including life and social skills training, adaptive aquatics, sports and recreation, personal training, summer camp and summer travel programs, after school enrichment, Jewish education, weekday and weekend participation in community events.

JCC MetroWest strives to offer inclusion opportunities in all programming throughout the building. Whether it is in the pre-school with a shadow, specialized training in our fitness center or via our camp friends program at Camp Deeny Riback, JCC MetroWest encourages and helps those with special needs to participate in as many community opportunities as possible.
