WHERE:
Millburn Middle School, 25 Old Short Hills Road, Millburn
ADMISSION:
Free admission
For concert information visit: http://metropolitanorchestra.org; or call 973.379.6431

The orchestra’s program, under the direction of Maestro Michael Stratechuk, will want you to “click” your heels in dance as you listen to Brahms: Hungarian Dances; Strauss: Emperor Waltz; Weber: Invitation to the Dance; Mascagni: Intermezzo from Cavaleria Rusticana; among others.

Featured soloist will be pianist, Mark Yolleck, performing Poulenc: Concerto for Piano and Orchestra. A leading figure in 20th century French music, Francis Poulenc’s music reflects the Parisian scene of everyday. Mr. Yolleck will be performing the concerto on the restored Millburn Middle School 1906 Steinway Grand Piano graciously donated to the school in the late 1940s by William Meeder, a famous NBC radio organist and Short Hills resident.

The Metropolitan Orchestra’s presentation of this concert is made possible, in part, by a grant from Essex County and New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
