A World Premiere Recipient of an Edgerton Foundation New American Plays Award. Directed by Joseph Discher and starring Ames Adamson, David Sitler, Benjamin Sterling and John G. Williams. It's the start of the Civil War and lawyer Benjamin Butler has just been promoted to the rank of Major General at Fort Monroe, a Union hold-out in the state of Virginia. Shepard Mallory, an escaped slave, seeks sanctuary at the fort, however, the law of the land has not yet changed and slaves are still considered property and must be turned over to their "rightful owners". Based on a true story that changed the course of a nation.

THE LOBBY

WHEN: June 30 at 7 PM
The Lobby is one big, elaborate and extremely hilarious hoax; an Irish immigrant story, a modern American comedy, and an old-school farce all wrapped up in one terrific new play. A group Irish ne'er-do-wells do whatever it takes to get ahead in New York.

Doors open at 6:30 PM first come, first served. Reading starts at 7 PM followed by a discussion.
ADMISSION: $10 for non-subscribers.
