HARMONIUM SEEKS TO FILL OPENINGS IN THE BASS SECTION

Experienced choral singers with excellent sight reading skills are encouraged to audition.

Rehearsals are Sunday evenings beginning March 16 at Grace Lutheran Church, 65 East Main Street, Mendham, NJ.

Upcoming performances this spring include the Bach motet "Singet dem Herrn" and other works on June 7 and 8, and the Mahler Symphony No. 2 with the New Jersey Festival Orchestra on May 31 and June 1.

ABOUT HARMONIUM CHORAL SOCIETY

Harmonium, one of New Jersey's leading choral arts organizations, is known for its eclectic programming and community spirit. The 100-voice chorus, which includes a large number of music educators, sponsors commissions, premieres, and musicianship workshops, as well as an Outreach Chorus which performs in schools, nursing homes and other venues. The choral society has been recognized for its musical excellence and innovative programming.

Harmonium has won the prestigious Chorus America Education and outreach Award for their Annual High School Choral Composition Contest which is currently in process. They have also won the Morris Arts Outstanding Arts Organization Award. Harmonium has performed at Carnegie Hall, the Eastern Division Convention of the American Choral Directors Association and at the opening convocation of the American Guild of Organists (AGO) 2011 Region II Convention and toured internationally.
