FIVE WOMEN WEARING THE SAME DRESS
Dark comedy by the Creator of American Beauty, True Blood and Six Feet Under, Alan Ball

WHEN: March 28 through April 6. Friday evenings at 8 PM, Saturdays at 8 PM and Sundays at 3 PM.
WHERE: Playhouse 22, East Brunswick Community Arts Center at 721 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick.
TICKETS:  $15 and are available online at Playhouse22.org, by calling the Box Office at 732.254.3939 or at the Box Office window.

The comedy is set at the home of the bride in Knoxville, Tennessee, during the newly married couple's overdone wedding reception. The five bridesmaids have found refuge in the room of Meredith, the sister of the bride. The women come to realize, among other things, that they, despite their differences, have more in common with each other than any of them do with the bride.

The show is directed by Amy Levine and is part of Playhouse 22’s critically-acclaimed “On the Edge” series.  The series is an opportunity for directors to present lesser-known or smaller works that might not be suited to a full-scale production. The emphasis is on the play and the acting, not costumes, props or special effects.

Voted Best Community Theater in "The Best in Central Jersey Readers Choice Awards" for three years running.
