frenemiesThis witty and buoyant comedy of manners is brilliantly plotted from its effervescent first act to its hilarious denouement.  Men-about-town, John Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff pursue fair ladies Gwendolen Fairfax and Cecily Cardew. Matters are complicated by the imaginary characters invented by both men to cover their on-the-sly activities.

The Importance of Being Earnest is a masterpiece of high comedy, sparkling with provocative observations not to be missed.

[Above: Gwendolen (Jessica Phelan, left) and Cecily (Rachel Bammel, right) have learned some very disturbing news about their beloved Earnest and are enduring each other for the sake of propriety and tea served by the long suffering butler Merriman (Mitch Frank).]
